Retainers are obtained in order to reserve the date and time for your session. Once you make a retainer, it is not refundable because I block off a special amount of time exclusively for you. This means I cannot book anyone else in your spot. I wish I can service hundreds at a time, but unfortunately, I can only service a limited amount of sessions per day so this helps me organize and plan out my schedule in advance. If it is a non-wedding event, I do not mind rescheduling your session, but, in most cases I ask that you give me at least a 2 week notice so I can adjust my schedule for the change. Failure to inform me of any rescheduling, and/or cancellations will result in you forfeiting your retainer. I try my best to avoid doing this because it does not benefit either party. So, I just that you communicate with me so we can work things out. Thanks in advance for respecting my clients' time and understanding the value of my time and commitment to you.
